Fall fruiting coral fungus popping up.

with 2 comments

Found this yesterday growing in a heavily mulched landscape bed. What is it you ask?

Well, it’s a coral fungus. Also known as Ramaria formosa. A deciduous fall fruiting mushroom popping up in a landscape bed near you.

It’s poisonous so don’t plan on making it a snack. Unless you like diarrhea.

  1. It’s so pretty and then you go and mention diarrhea. Nice.
